
Nicholas V. Engels is the Managing Director of Leadership Coaching, Inc., a second-generation consulting firm specializing in leadership maturity and systems-based transformation. Alongside his father and founder, John Engels, Nick is guiding the firm through its own succession process, an experience that grounds his work with clients in practical realism and skin-in-the-game wisdom.

For nearly two decades, Nick has worked with family enterprises, global nonprofits, professional firms, and C-suites, helping leaders turn complex relational challenges into opportunities for growth and accountability. His work emphasizes principled candor, clear roles, and earned connection as foundations for organizational and family impact.

Nick leads the firm’s flagship Advanced Leadership Course, a 10-month intensive on interpersonal mastery, maturity, and high-trust leadership - now in its 26th year.

He graduated from the National Outdoor Leadership School in Western Australia, holds degrees from Quinnipiac University and the University at Buffalo, and completed postgraduate training at the Bowen Center for the Study of the Family in Washington, DC. Nick lives in upstate New York with his wife and son.
